It is my goal to be an effective teacher so that your sons and daughters can be all that they can be and get as far as they wish in fulfilling their dreams and expectations.  I believe that a good education requires hard work by both the teacher and students.

The first step in education is to learn to be responsible.  My favorite saying, which I have strived to live by is:  "Character/personality is developed by doing what should be done, when it should be done, regardless of whether you like it or not." [author unknown].  Another is:  "Set your goal farther than you can ever reach and reach for it.  You may not reach it, but you'll get much farther than if you had never set that goal."  Mrs. Savage, 11th-grade L.A. teacher.
