Born and reared in Chattanooga, Tennessee (I won't tell
you when), I later graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S.
degree in Education. When I moved to Atlanta and started teaching
elementary school, I taught fourth grade for nine years. In 1984, I
graduated with a Master's degree in Middle School Education from Georgia State
University and started teaching in middle grades the very next year.
This is my twenty-sixth year of teaching in the Fulton County School System.
My husband Ian and I have been married for twenty years, and we have two wonderful children.
I teach sixth grade social studies. We study North America, Latin America, Europe and Russia, and Australia.
