Hello!  My name is Steve Bradley and I am the Director of Bands at Taylor Road Middle School.  I have been teaching band for 21 years.  I received my bachelor's degree in Music Education from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. and my Masters Degree in Music Education from Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA.  My hobbies include camping, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking.

Here at Taylor Road we have four concert bands and a jazz ensemble.  Instrumental performing ensembles offered at Taylor Road include:  Advanced Band.....For students with two or more years experience or attainment of appropriate skill level.  Admission to this group is by audition.  Intermediate Band.....For students with one to two or more years experience or attainment of appropriate skill level.  Admission to this group is by audition. Sixth Grade Band.....For students with one or two years experience. Sixth Grade Beginner Band.....For beginning students or those who need further skills development.  Jazz Ensemble..... Open to 7th and 8th grade students who play Jazz Ensemble instruments.  Admission to this group is by audition.  Other available ensembles include All-State Band, District Band, and Fulton County Honor Band.  These groups involve district and state wide auditions.

We are very proud of our award winning Band program here at Taylor Road.  Our Advanced Band has received seven consecutive years of Superior Ratings at the GMEA District V Band Festival.  Our Jazz Ensemble has performed at the International Association of Jazz Educators Conference, and the Georgia Middle School Conference, in addition to local jazz festivals and other area performances.  Our band students also represent our school and community at Solo & Ensemble Festival and All-State Band.

We have an active band program at Taylor Road with over 200 students involved.  I am very proud of our program, students, and their accomplishments. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
