India's Struggle to Save her Wildlife: Make a poster that would be useful to environmentalists to help save the wildlife in India. You must include pictures of endangered animals on the poster. The poster must be on a full piece of poster board. The poster should summarize the information you found about the animals.

Safari in India: Research jungle and desert creatures of India. Make a brochure illustrating a photo safari in India. Make sure the brochure describes at least three anmimals in detail.

Monsoons: Map a poster (full poster board) showing the map of India and how Monsoons are important to India. The poster should explain what monsoons are and their importance.

Major Religions: Research the major religions of India (Hindu, Muslims). Describe your findings on a poster or in a pamphlet with illustrations.

Hindu Wedding Ceremony Resources

Famous People: Look up one of the famous people in India (Nehru, Indira Ghandi, Nahatma Ghandi, Mother Theresa). Write a 1-2 page biography on the person and make a poster illustrating the reason the person is important to India.

Other Subcontinent Countries: Research a country in the subcontinent. Write a 1-2 page summary of the information you found. Make a poster illustrating what you have learned about the people in this country.

Taj Mahal: Research the Taj Mahal. Write a 1-2 page report on your findings. Make a model of the Taj Mahal and its grounds.

Clothing: Make a catalogue illustrating a variety of clothing or make paper dolls wearing sample clothing. Each article of clothing should have a description of who it is worn by, when it is worn and any special significance it might have.

Music and Musical Instruments: Research unique musical instruments in India. Make a model of one of these instruments or illustrate them on a full sized poster board. Include interesting information you discovered about these instruments.

Spices and Foods: Research spices from India (curry, hot chili, turmeric and others) and food native to India. Write a 1-2 page report on food and spices in India. Prepare a sample food typical of India to share with the class or make an illustrated sample menu of a restaurant in India.
